InterVarsity Pioneer Camp

A DOCK FOR DECADES TO COME

Since the earliest days of Pioneer Pacific, the waterfront program has been a distinctive expression of camp ministry. The waterfront provides many conditions for physically and spiritually integrated experiences. It is the place that readily opens doors to the beauty, wonder, fear, and worship of God.
The dock is a literal launching point, sending boats full of campers off to explore marine life in the bay or venture even further out to sea on out-trips. It’s also the place they return to, full of new experiences that change them for a lifetime. The ministry that happens in the waters surrounding Pioneer Pacific cannot happen without a dock.
After decades of service, our dock and boathouse require much needed attention. We must rebuild these structures in the coming year so we can ensure a strong waterfront program in 2027, and for decades to come.
Dedicated partners came together sixty years ago to build our current dock. And now, we have a narrow window to build a new dock that will serve the next generation for decades to come. Would you join us in rebuilding Pioneer Pacific’s dock and boathouse? Your gifts will help us continue to launch generations of young people into a life of faith and attentiveness to the presence of God in all of creation.

To be completed by end of Phase 1.

Phase 2 will complete the waterfront rebuild with a new 1,600 square foot boathouse. It will be built on the same footprint as the existing boathouse. The design of the new boathouse will integrate with the rest of the buildings on site. We will draw as much as we can from within our network of skilled volunteers and trusted contractors.
